  BASELWORLD: Euro Pearls to showcase premium brand “Yoko London”  












 
Michael Hakimian, Chief Executive of Euro Pearls, tells Jewellery Outlook in an interview that Euro Pearls will celebrate their 40th anniversary by showcasing their premium brand, “Yoko London”, at BASELWORLD.
 
What new products will Euro Pearls present at BASELWORLD, and what is distinctive about these pieces?

BASELWORLD has always been a key date in the jewellery calendar. As Euro Pearls are celebrating their 40th birthday this year we are showcasing our premium brand, “Yoko London”. 
 
This collection captures the very essence of luxury pearl jewellery.  Every piece is hand crafted and set with top quality South Sea and Tahitian Pearls, often in unique colours and rare sizes.

 
What makes Euro Pearls stand out from its competition?

At “Euro Pearls” the pearl is the star. We pride ourselves on lovingly creating works of art using a huge array of AA grade pearls in a myriad of colours.

Creating a unique necklace sometimes takes months of work, dedication and patience.  We are proud to present our latest stunning creations to the international buying set at BASELWORLD.

Why is BASELWORLD a must-attend event for EuroPearls?

We have been exhibiting at Basel for over 20 years.  Though we exhibit at a huge number of shows, Basel has been integral in allowing us to reach out to some of the most experienced and influential jewellery buyers worldwide.

These buyers who congregate annually at the show can appreciate the exquisite pearls and the skilled craftsmanship that goes into creating each “Yoko London” piece.

 

 
What main geographical markets is Euro Pearls targeting this year, and why should the brand appeal to these markets?

The main markets we are targeting this year are Asia, the Middle East, Russia and the U.S.  Our products have been extremely well received in these regions as the brand epitomises luxury, exclusivity and quality.

What will be the priorities of your marketing efforts to raise the profile of your brand this year?

We have been going strong now for 40 years thanks to the unwavering support of our global client base.

We believe that 2013 will be an exciting year with the emphasis continuing on luxury.

We hope to have a successful show at Basel and to meet buyers from all over the world who are sourcing the kind of magnificent one-of-a-kind pieces we have become famous for.

 
Our marketing strategies this year to raise the profile of “Yoko London” are to increase the number of countries that stock our brand by working together with established publications which can tell our story and showcase our products, and of course to continue to create with passion the outstanding pieces that reflect what we stand for, a family of artisans creating quality, luxury, beautiful “pearl jewellery”.
