BIRMINGHAM, England, February 2014 – Independent retailers turned out in force at the CMJ Trade Event in Birmingham this week to see an exciting assortment of new products and services.
Jewellery brand Arctic Circle Diamonds showcased their jewellery, offering fully-traceable Canadian diamonds set in Fairtrade gold.
Arctic Circle diamond jewellery is now manufactured and distributed throughout the UK and Ireland by You Fine Jewellery Ltd, a new company formed by Judith Lockwood and Gary Wroe, after the recent closure of its Canadian manufacturer and distributor The Martin Ross Group.
Arctic Circle jewellery collections will be produced only in Fairtrade Gold and manufactured by Hockley Mint in Birmingham within new contemporary designs.
The long-established Birmingham manufacturer Weston Beamor took part in a CMJ meeting for the first time.
The company was there to tell CMJ members about its bespoke production service for retailers which includes designs in Fairtrade gold and silver.
This service provides the opportunity for retailers who may not have their own workshops, or who do not want to get involved themselves in making up special pieces, to tap into a fully comprehensive manufacturing facility, allowing them to offer complete personalisation to their customers.
“Weston Beamor is well-known for its casting services in precious metals but is perhaps less well known for its CAD and Rapid Prototyping services and for its stone setting and stone-sourcing facilities,” said the company’s head of business development, Glen Day.
“Our dedicated team of experts can help retailers with all stages of the manufacturing process and provide a swift, expert and high-quality service.”
Solitaire Gemmological Laboratories (SGL) launched at the CMJ Trade Event its tamper-proof diamond seal, provided exclusively in the UK and guaranteeing a secure link between a gemstone and its certificate.
SGL is a growing industry-recognised diamond laboratory group with labs located across India, in Britain and Dubai.
SGL is the only lab in the UK providing a diamond seal.
Brands showed off their latest collections at the CMJ Trade Event.
TI SENTO showcased their latest colourful Italian-inspired pieces at highly competitive price points at the CMJ event, following a strong performance at Jewellery & Watch Birmingham earlier this month.
The TI SENTO Spring/Summer 2015 collection of more than 100 luminous designs is inspired by today’s mood in which we sense the beginning of a new era, the company said.
Launching in mid-February, the collection is inspired by light, colours and structures that deliver new trends in design; rings in the collection have surface texture and pavé-set lines as the base.
