 Jewellery & Watch launches Buyers Power List in association with Pandora  

BIRMINGHAM, October 2015 - The annual Buyers Power List will return to Jewellery & Watch this February, in association with Pandora as headline sponsor, Bransom and Clarity & Success, to celebrate the very best in buying across the jewellery and watch industry.
Celebrating the efforts of individuals and buying teams from across the UK and Ireland, the third edition of the acclaimed awards will be held at Birmingham’s soon-to-open destination leisure complex, Resorts World, on Monday 8th February 2016.
Shining a light on those key players and influencers within the industry, the respected competition offers added value to the five-day trade event for both brands and buyers alike; it is completely led by the industry, for the industry.
Set to open for entries on the 1st October via the Jewellery & Watch website, the competition will be divided into the following six categories:
Best Independent Retailer (five stores or less)

2015 winner: Wongs
Best Multiple Retailer (five stores or more)

2015 winner: Goldsmiths
Best Department Store

2015 winners: Fortnum & Mason
Best Individual Retailer

2015 winner: Ashley Pugh, Managing Director, W Bruford
Best Watch Retailer

2015 winner: Jonathan Brett, Head of Purchasing, Watchfinder
Best Hermitage Site, Museum or Gallery

2015 winner: National Gallery
The initial round of open nominations will close on 2nd November; nominations will then be tallied to create a top 10 across each category, producing a shortlist of individual buyers and buying teams in the running for the awards.
Those individuals will then be asked to peer-review within their respective categories, producing the best buyers for the 2016 awards.

New for 2016, the Buyers Power List will be held at Resorts World, offering the industry’s most influential buyers with an exclusive dinner and drinks reception, with entertainment throughout the evening.

The event will take place following the second day of Jewellery & Watch, which will span 7-11 February at the NEC, Birmingham, co-located with Spring Fair.
