Diamonds published in six foreign languages

LONDON, May 12, 2011 – Diamonds, a universal guide about the gemstones authored by Croatian expert Marijan Dundek, has been published in six foreign language editions.

Attending the launch of the new editions at a champagne reception at London’s sumptuous Lanesborough hotel on May 9, Slavica Ecclestone lit up the room with the most magnificent diamond ring.

Keen to support Dundek, the former Mrs. Bernie Ecclestone was full of praise for Diamonds:

“Like most women, I adore diamonds.  But Marijan Dundek’s book has given me the most invaluable insight into really understanding a diamond’s intrinsic beauty and quality.”

Diamonds, already an international bestseller in its third edition, has just been published in the following foreign language editions: Japanese, Russian, French, Hindi, Cantonese and Mandarin.

The widespread acclaim for Diamonds is in recognition of Dundek’s achievement in creating a reference book for diamond lovers, students and professionals from all over the world.

Beautifully illustrated and packed with clear and concise information, it also gives prospective buyers the necessary tools for choosing their desired diamond with confidence and know-how.

Recognised and commended by many top organisations in the field, including the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), the British Jewellery Association and the Antwerp World Diamond Centre, Diamonds is available from many bookshops and online sellers, as hard copy, as well as in electronic formats (e-book, ibooks for Apple etc).

Dundek has extensive experience and expertise in the diamond trade, and currently works with Graff Diamonds.

His passion for diamonds is contagious.

“Diamonds have captured the imagination and hearts of people since the beginning of mankind.  Today, we are celebrating my book’s new six foreign language editions, but the truth is, the language of diamonds is universally understood.”

Slavica Ecclestone was accompanied by her daughter Petra and Petra's fiance Jamie Stunt.

Newly engaged Petra wore a breathtaking 10 carat diamond engagement ring, recently acquired with Dundek’s help.

Guests at the reception included the Chinese Cultural Attache, Li Zhang, Press Secretary Mrs. Padmaja from India’s High Commission, David Warren (Christie’s), Daniela Mascetti and Michina Ponzone Pope (Sotheby’s), and Harry Levy, President of the London Diamond Bourse.
