India is the big story at VICENZAORO Winter
VICENZA, Italy, January 16, 2012 - India was the big talking point at VICENZAORO Winter, Italy's premier jewellery trade fair.
Much of the chatter at the show revolved around the renaissance of a handful of Italian brands under the direction of India's Gitanjali, led by Mehul Choksi.

Mumbai-based Gitanjali has acquired Italian luxury jewellery brands Stefan Hafner, IO Si, Valente, Porrati, Nouvelle Bague and Giantti.
Choksi, who speaks of his admiration for Italian brands, told Jewellery Outlook that he will promote these brands in growth markets around the world in 2012.
India will also present a great opportunity for Italian brands to showcase their work there during the IIJW&IIJS shows in Mumbai in the second half of August 2012.

This is good news for both India and Italy.
Italian jewellers will enjoy new opportunities in one of the biggest and most dynamic jewellery markets in the world, and Indian consumers will have a wider choice.
VICENZAORO Winter runs from January 14-19, 2012.
