A couple’s unique story inspires designs at Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery
HERTFORDSHIRE, England, August 2016 – A couple’s unique story together – how they met or a theme of their relationship – can inspire their own very personal design for their engagement ring, says jeweller Harriet Kelsall.
Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery has studios in rural Hertfordshire and Cambridge, showcasing a variety of diamond cuts, natural colour gemstones from around the world, and precious metals to give the widest possible choice to customers.
Winner of the Bridal Jewellery Retailer of the Year award in the 2016 UK Jewellery Awards, Harriet Kelsall says committed customer service was at the heart of the accolade which she collected at the Hilton Park Lane in London in June.
Couples who visit the studio often have a story to tell — and this can be the inspiration for a bespoke engagement ring design.
“When people come here, it’s all about the customer experience – it’s all about their story,” Harriet said.
One couple had bonded due to their love for classic cars, in particular a 1967 Volkswagen Beetle whose distinctive headlights inspired the diamond shape in the ring that they chose.
Some couples, including individuals who have an academic background at Cambridge, have expressed in interest in science, which has been the inspiration for their choice of ring design.
Harriet spoke of the special importance to her of ethical options in custom-made jewellery, such as her offering of wedding bands made of Fairtrade gold, and ethical rubies originating from a mine in Tanzania.
