A record breaking Christmas for Clogau
January 12, 2013 – Clogau Gold achieved two straight record-breaking months in terms of revenue in November and December 2012, in what was the UK brand’s best ever Christmas to date.
Business through its network of independent retail partners saw almost a 30% increase in December 2012 compared to December 2011. Following suit, Clogau’s direct business experienced a 20% uplift (aided particularly by online sales) while business through UK buying groups was up by 80%.
A new corporate offering was also launched by the brand in late 2012, offering a premium Welsh gold jewellery gifting service to other UK businesses.
The results were boosted by the brand’s recent 9-week TV advert campaign, broadcast on ITV Wales and Granada.
Clogau experienced an immediate and significant increase in visitors to www.clogau.co.uk, with retailers reporting great Christmas sales.
Clogau will be exhibiting at February’s The Jewellery Show in Birmingham to showcase new product, product packaging and POS in line with its new Spring & Summer 2013 Fairytale campaign.
