Alexis Dove celebrates 10th anniversary of brand with new collection
April 2016 – With 30 collections, high-profile awards and collaborations, and a successful jewellery boutique, British jewellery brand Alexis Dove is raising a glass to its 10th anniversary in April.
Founded by Alexis Dove in Lewes, Sussex, the brand is known for its nature and vintage-inspired silver collections and beautiful and unusual diamond and gemstone engagement rings.
Now, reaching this positive milestone, the brand is reflecting on a successful decade in business with a brand new collection, English Rose, which will launch later this spring.
Taking inspiration from Alexis Dove’s first 22ct gold collection of stacking rings and the bestselling Wild Rose collection, English Rose will be available at wholesale for the brand’s retail partners.
Speaking of English Rose, Alexis Dove said: “Alongside Wild Rose, my first fine jewellery collection featured stacking rings in 22ct gold set with rose cut diamonds, fancy sapphires and old mine cut diamonds.
“I have created English Rose as a tribute to my early designs and to make something truly pretty and feminine for today, as that is what my brand has always been about.”
The brand has also begun working with Fairtrade gold this year for its fine and bridal collections – another important development that marks its 10th anniversary.
“Customers want to be reassured that the things they buy are produced in a sustainable and ethical way, and they are beginning to demand traceability,” Alexis Dove said.
“I believe it is an exciting time to introduce Fairtrade precious metals to my collections; the growth of Fairtrade is already changing the way people shop and in turn gives the global communities trading and producing raw materials and food much better lives.”
Reflecting on the past 10 years, Alexis Dove has released 30 collections inspired by nature, art, vintage curiosities and the Sussex Downs where her boutique and jewellery studio are located.
Her eponymous boutique celebrated its fifth anniversary in business last year with the launch of the bestselling Paradise collection and a collaboration with local artist Jonathan Barnes on a showstopping window display.
Alexis Dove spoke about this particularly proud moment, saying: “Opening my first boutique was a momentous occasion for the brand and we have since developed a loyal customer base.
“The store has enabled me to consult with customers and make one-of-a-kind engagement rings for so many wonderful couples.”
Alexis Dove also recently collaborated with the Glyndebourne Opera House, creating an exclusive jewellery collection featuring iconic statues and flowers from its celebrated grounds. The collection is currently being sold exclusively through Glyndebourne’s website and visitor gift shop.
Alexis Dove is also an award winner, having scooped accolades including a Retail Jeweller Inspiring Independents award, being named a Trendsetter in the Professional Jeweller’s Hot 100, and having her Menagerie collection shortlisted in Professional Jeweller’s Collections of the Year 2015.
