Artisan Awards celebrate outstanding Indian jewellery design talent
MUMBAI, February 23, 2015 – The 2015 Artisan Awards celebrated India’s brightest jewellery design talents, at a glitzy ceremony with a touch of Bollywood on February 20.
The awards were held at an evening garden party at the Grand Hyatt, on the sidelines of the IIJS Signature trade show.
Bollywood star Sonam Kapoor, brand ambassador for the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), handed the “Emerging Jewellery Designer of the Year” award to Suhani Pittie from Hyderabad.

Bangalore-based heritage jeweller Ganjam won the “Most Accomplished Retailer in Design Excellence Award.”
Viren Bhagat wins “Most Accomplished Artisan of Our Time” award at Artisan Awards
One of the top awards of the night was the “Most Accomplished Artisan of Our Time” award, won by world-renowned jewellery designer Viren Bhagat from Mumbai.
