Los Angeles – Bonhams presents its first California Jewels sale of 2023 on February 22. Featuring 244 lots, the forthcoming sale will present a selection of exceptional jewels which includes signed pieces from leading houses such as Cartier, Bulgari, Graff, and Van Cleef & Arpels to renowned designers including Angela Cummings for Tiffany & Co., and quintessential American jeweler David Webb with his sought-after modernist designs alongside an array of exceptional diamonds.

Exceptional diamond jewels in Bonhams California Jewels sale

Leading the diamond sale is an 18K white gold and marquise-shaped diamond ring of type IIa, E color, VVS2 clarity, weighing approximately 6.09 carats. Offered with an estimate of US$140,000-200,000. 

Another highlight is a stylish Cartier platinum and diamond dress clip, a style currently seeing a resurgence within jewelry trends. The elaborate circa 1929 design has a shield-shaped diamond surrounded by fancy-shaped baguette, round and single-cut diamonds of D-E-F color, VS-SI clarity with an approximate total carat weight of 10.35. Offered with an estimate of US$75,000-100,000.
