Christie’s announces Magnificent Jewelsa live sale at Rockefeller Center on 6 December, featuring the Fancy Vivid Pink Diamond, and important white and colored diamonds, along with signed jewels by Bulgari, Cartier, Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels and more.

The sale will be on view in New York from 2-5 December. Highlights include the largest fancy blue diamond ever to appear at auction, the Rare Colored Diamond Pendant-Necklace is set with a 31.62 carat, Fancy Blue, potentially Internally Flawless diamond (estimate $10,000,000-15,000,000).

Further highlights include a Magnificent Diamond Pendant-Necklace, featuring an exceptional pear-shaped 86.64 carat D color diamond (estimate $5,000,000-7,000,000) and a superb Diamond ‘Palm-Tree’ Brooch mounted by Cartier from 1948  (estimate $500,000-700,000). Additional highlights include a Fine Colored Diamond Ring, featuring a fancy intense blue oval brilliant-cut diamond of 2.21 carats (estimate $1,200,000-1,800,000); a Diamond Torque Bangle Bracelet, set with a D color, Internally Flawless heart-shaped diamond of 50.05 carats (estimate $3,700,000 – 4,500,000); and The De Beers Yellow, an exceptional Fancy Vivid Yellow, Internally Flawless emerald-cut diamond of 13.75 carats (estimate $1,100,000 – 1,800,000).

Christie’s is also delighted to present a superb selection of iconic designs from Van Cleef and Arpels. One standout lot is the Retro Sapphire, Colored Sapphire and Ruby ‘Bouquet’ Brooch formerly from the collection of Argentinian first lady Eva ‘Evita’ Perón (estimate $60,000-80,000). The use of materials and the overall scale of the brooch is a wonderful tribute to the Retro period. Since it was purchased from the auction of Evita’s personal collection in 1957, it has remained in private hands and has never been worn. Additional highlights by Van Cleef & Arpels include the Suite of Ruby, Sapphire and Diamond ‘Hawaii’ Jewelry (estimate $100,000-150,000) and two examples of the house’s iconic mystery-set technique, the Ruby and Emerald ‘Mystery-Set’ Flower Brooch (estimate $400,000-600,000) and the Ruby and Diamond ‘Mystery-Set’ Flower Earrings (estimate $120,000-180,000).

Rounding out the sale is the striking Aquamarine, Diamond and Multi-Gem ‘Panthère de Cartier’ Bracelet, set with a 71.45 carat cabochon aquamarine (estimate $200,000-400,000).
