LONDON – Bonhams presented its Fine Jewellery, London sale on 8 July, 2026, featuring an extraordinary selection of signed jewels, important antique pieces, and exceptional coloured gemstones, with many highlights drawn from distinguished single-owner collections. The top lot of the sale was a David Morris cultured pearl and diamond necklace from a private single owner collection.  Designed as three rows of cultured pearls between diamond-set rondelle spacers, accented by flowers and interlocking hoops of pavé-set single-cut diamonds. The necklace achieved £40,960, more than its pre-sale estimate of £25,000-35,000.
Jennifer Tonkin, Bonhams Head of Jewellery, UK said: Natural pearls, coloured gemstones, signed and period jewellery all performed strongly in our Fine Jewellery sale in London. Our top two results were achieved for a natural pearl necklace which more than tripled its top estimate and a cultured pearl and diamond necklace by David Morris which demonstrates the market’s appetite for coveted high jewellery designs by heritage brands.”
