LOS ANGELES/LONDON – Bonhams presented the live May jewellery sales: California Jewels on May 20, 2025, and Knightsbridge Jewels on May 21, 2025.
Both sales featured a selection of exceptional pieces spanning the centuries.
Highlights included coloured gemstones, vibrant emeralds, rubies, and sapphires alongside antique and vintage jewels. The sales also showcased striking contemporary designs and signed creations from world-renowned houses.
California Jewels made a total of US$2,111,616 and Knightsbridge Jewels made a total of £1,196,992.
California Jewels top lot was an 18K white gold and diamond ring, centering a round diamond weighing 3.14 carats, set in a surround of tapered-baguette and round diamonds.
The ring sold for double its pre-sale estimate to achieve US$51,200 (estimate US$20,000-30,000.)
