“The Asian market continues to grow and position itself as a major centre in the international world of auctions.”
An anonymous buyer bought The Imperial Cushions, a pair of cushion-shaped D, potentially IF Golconda diamonds of 24.49 and 23.11 carats.
The price achieved of $200,000 per carat was a world record price per carat for a colourless Golconda diamond, Christies said.
