Born in Panama, Doña Yolanda Eleta graduated from Stanford University, before marrying Ignacio Fierro, heir to a family of Spanish bankers.

In 1965, the couple embarked on the construction of a magnificent villa in the heart of Madrid, which Doña Yolanda filled with works of art and furniture gathered from around the world and chosen with the help of her childhood friend and Panamanian architect Guillermo de Roux.

Maison Jansen, the distinguished firm that brought French style to the world (including to the White House), was also commissioned to create interiors reflecting Doña Yolanda’s cosmopolitan taste.
