GENEVA – Diamond bracelets once owned by Marie-Antoinette fetched $8.2 million at Christie’s Magnificent Jewels sale in Geneva on November 9, 2021, more than double their $2-4 million estimate, reflecting the enduring fascination with the last Queen of France.
The jewels, made by Boehmer in 1776, and passed through the family by descent for 250 years, made the second highest price for a jewel owned by Marie-Antoinette.
