Augustine Jewels showcases handmade British luxury at IJL debut
LONDON, July 2014 – Augustine Jewels will showcase extraordinary red and green gem-set gold and silver Christmas Cuffs and highlights from its handmade British luxury collections at its debut at IJL.
Designer Alexandra Morris will present standout Christmas Cuffs from her luxury British brand at the UK’s premier jewellery trade fair, which takes place at Olympia from August 31 to September 2.
They are an 18K gold cuff with an emerald-cut citrine stone and two natural round brilliant-cut rubies, and a gold cuff featuring a green peridot and rubies.
“I am sticking to a red and green, very Christmassy theme,” Morris said.
Augustine Jewels will also present exquisite pieces from its handmade luxury collections, all made in England by highly skilled craftspeople with Bond Street experience, in the “New Designer” space, stand number P79.
“My pieces are Bond Street quality – but at much better prices,” Morris said.
Silver Day Wear – Highlights from Parisian silver and Cotswold silver collections, at accessible price points.
Morris’s collections are all based upon exotic places that are important – and personal — to her. The collections are classic, modern and highly wearable every day.
Gold Day Wear – Highlights from Parisian gold and Cotswold gold collections – again extraordinarily good value.
“I don’t have the overhead of shops, so I can present superbly handcrafted ‘Made in England’ pieces at very good value,” said Morris, who studied at ESMOD Fashion School in Paris where she won an award in jewellery design.
Evening Wear – Highlights include Morris’s best seller, an 18ct white gold and diamond necklace, and diamond earrings, both with hand set pave VS1 diamonds.
Morris will present some of her most magnificent, bespoke pieces in the Evening Wear category at her stand at IJL.
Morris does bespoke commissions, combining the most exquisite gemstones with precious materials in unusual settings and colourful combinations, for a roster of private clients.
Augustine Jewels will show off its much-admired Ostrich piece, inspired by Mexican feather grass, in the Evening Wear category.
Cufflinks – Highlights are Augustine Jewels’ standout diamond cufflinks, incorporating a pair of 1.9 carat top-quality diamonds as well as the silver collection incorporating malachite, garnet, hematite and chrysoprase.
“Augustine Jewels is delighted to be exhibiting at IJL for the first time this year,” Morris said.
“It is a great opportunity for us to show retailers a selection of my very personal, handmade ‘Made in England’ luxury jewels, at exceptional value.”
IJL takes place at Olympia, London, from August 31 to September 2, 2014. Augustine Jewels exhibits at stand number P79 in the “New Designer” space.
