ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS, England – The Diamond Setter was one of the first UK jewellers to craft jewellery featuring crystalline osmium derived from the bluish-white platinum group metal osmium.
Located in a well-lit boutique in the Pantiles, a Georgian shopping colonnade in the town of Royal Tunbridge Wells, 50 km southeast of London, co-owners Lorraine and Gavin Marsh are UK partners of the Osmium Institute, which promotes the use of crystalline osmium in jewellery.
Sparkling crystalline osmium looks very attractive when inlaid in white or yellow gold jewellery.
Gavin Marsh offers a bespoke service in which he crafts crystalline osmium into 18-carat and 9-carat white and yellow gold jewellery, such as rings and necklaces.
Jewellery aficionados are getting to know more about the application of crystalline osmium in jewellery, as the Osmium Institute boosts awareness in the jewellery trade.
Crystalline osmium is notable for its rarity and beauty.
The Osmium Institute and The Diamond Setter will be exhibiting at jewellery trade fairs in 2025, and joining panel discussions, to demonstrate the use of crystalline osmium in jewellery.
