Betts Group sponsors new fine jewellery collection, KHIRY FINE launching exclusively at NET-A-PORTER

The UK’s oldest surviving precious metal refining and dealing business has given its backing to Jameel Mohammed, who is set to launch his first fine jewellery collection at NET-A-PORTER.
The Betts Group has sponsored Jameel’s first fine jewellery collection, as part of The Vanguard, NET-A-PORTER’s globally renowned programme for emerging designer talent.
The historic family-run firm has provided Single Mine Origin (SMO) gold to realise the KIHIRY FINE collection, which has been made using responsibly sourced gold from the Yanfolila mine in Mali.

Founded in 2016, KHIRY channels the beauty, art, heritage and culture of the African diaspora into modern, luxurious jewellery. The new collection follows a mentorship with fellow fine jewellery brand Mateo and sponsorship from two other brands, Hearts on Fire and Muzo Emerald Colombia.

NET-A-PORTER will exclusively showcase the debut of KHIRY’s fine jewellery offering, which comprises a range of essential styles and specific sculptural silhouettes, rendered in 18-carat gold and a variety of precious stones.

Launched in 2018, SMO certified gold provides an auditable chain of custody for the entire supply chain, with full segregation from mine to finished product. It is increasingly used by a growing number of jewellers nationwide, including Boodles which has recently announced its commitment to using SMO gold in all its gold jewellery pieces.
