Spread over 840 square metres of exhibition space, the Indian pavilion showcased exquisite craftsmanship and jewellery collections comprising high-end diamond jewellery, gold and platinum jewellery, and fine jewellery.
Also on display were loose diamonds, studded gold jewellery, designer handmade jewellery, high-end diamond jewellery, bridal jewellery and exclusive pieces.
For the Middle East market, Indian participants also focused on jewellery with colour stones, sapphires, emeralds, rubies and solitaire diamonds and a new introduction this year featured diamond jewellery in palladium and platinum, in different settings.
Commenting on the Indian Pavilion’s participation, Praveenshankar Pandya, Chairman, GJEPC, said, “The Middle East has emerged as one of the key leading markets for gems and jewellery with currently 30% of the total Indian gem and jewellery exports to the region. Jewellery Arabia forms an important platform to increase trade with the region. The Middle East is one of the key focus markets for India, and the GJEPC will continue to make concerted efforts to increase its share of the market.”
