Bonhams has announced the appointment of Kate Flitcroft as Senior Specialist in the London Jewellery Department effective 5 July 2021. She is based in New Bond Street.
Kate joins Bonhams from Lyon and Turnbull where she was head of the jewellery and silver department in London, having previously spent 10 years at Christie’s also in London.
Winner of the 2016 prestigious Anderson Medal for gemmology from the Gemmological Association of Great Britain awarded annually for the best set of papers in the Gemmology Foundation Exam, Kate is also a regular expert on the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow.
Kate is a qualified auctioneer. Her many achievements on the rostrum include a rare white glove sale (i.e. every lot was sold) and more than £2.5 million raised in charity auctions.
