LONDON, September 13, 2012 – Leading brands are lining up to exhibit at The Jewellery Show London 2013, a trade buying event which will take place in the prestigious Somerset House on June 11-12, 2013.
“The Jewellery Show London 2013 will seal its reputation as a must-attend trade buying event, perfectly timed for retailers keen to source autumn/winter 2013 and spring 2014 collections,” a statement from organizer i2i Events Group said.
“Some of the hottest brands and cutting-edge designers already confirmed for 2013 include: Antwerp Diamonds, Stuart Moore, CW Sellors, Lalique, Alfred Terry, Stormbrand Ltd, and Pomegrante.”
Introducing the Jewellery Show London Watch Salon
The debut of a new dedicated watch section – ‘The Watch Salon’ – at The Jewellery Show London 2013, will be a key development in the evolution of The Jewellery Show London 2013.
The creation of The Watch Salon, launched in conjunction with Retail Jeweller magazine in response to industry demand, follows on from the successful watch seminar hosted at The Jewellery Show London 2012 with Simon Rainer from the BJA and Retail Jeweller editor Laura Mcreddie.
I2i Events Group is investing in a rich stream of seminar content to support The Jewellery Show London Watch Salon that will provide business insight and inspiration to watch retailers.
Commenting on the partnership, Mcreddie said: “We have been working closely with The Jewellery Show London to produce the Watch Salon. The Salon will provide premier watch content and exhibitors in a luxurious central London location outside of Basel. It’s clear that branded watches are a growth area in the UK and as many retailers from this country don’t ever visit Basel there is a need for a buying opportunity at this time of year in the UK.”
Stuart Laing, CEO of The Houlden Group, said “Houlden were very impressed with the show last year and it also allowed us to show off our Designs of Excellence initiative to the trade. From a buyers perspective it let us view suppliers and potential suppliers who do not visit our members’ buying meeting so it was a useful add on. We endorse The Jewellery Show London and the investment in The Watch Salon unreservedly.”
Henrik Leth Moller, UK director of Bering Time, said: “This focus on watches is a very welcome development for The Jewellery Show London and Somerset House is a superb location to showcase watch brands. We look forward to welcoming retailers in this sector who are sure to be attracted by the world-class content within the Watch Salon.“
Exhibitions organiser i2i Events Group has now announced further investment via a major hosted buyer programme for The Jewellery Show London. The programme will ensure that numerous members from the biggest buying groups in the country – including The Houlden Group and The Company of Master Jewellers – are out in force at both editions of The Jewellery Show, along with a select group of major retailers from overseas.
Brands already confirmed at the 2013 show include: Ferrara Gife Gioielli SAS di Ferrara Luigi, Anna Faine Jewellery, London Road Jewellery, Ikuria, Erica Sharpe Fine Jewellery, Zarafa, Since 1853, Parure Paris, R.M. Shah Ltd, La Perle Blanche, Chavin Jewellery, Solitaire, Gemmological Laboratories Ltd, JuditB, The Assay Office, Wedds & Co, The Real Pearl Co, OCD, Lucet Mundi, Virtue London, Jorg Gray and Kennett, Toregon Swiss, Judit B, Antwerp Diamonds, Stuart Moore, CW Sellors, Lalique, Alfred Terry, Stormbrand Ltd and Pomegrante.
The chief executive of the British Jeweller’s Association (BJA), Simon Rainer, has also welcomed the new developments and continued evolution of The Jewellery Show, saying:
“The BJA is very pleased to see the major commitment i2i Events Group is making to strengthen the UK industry through on-going investment in The Jewellery Show brand. The events offer superb product sourcing and networking opportunities that span the entire UK jewellery trade.
“The BJA also welcomes the new focus on watches, which supports our own activities.”
