Brands showcase collections at CMJ Media event
LONDON, July 2012 – Several brands showcased their latest collections at a CMJ Media press day in central London on July 11.
They reported steady enquiries in recent weeks despite a fragile economy, notably in the resilient bridal segment.
Brown & Newirth showed off their latest collection of bridal rings targeted at independent retail jewellers, presenting a wide array of price points to suit most budgets.
Erica Illingworth launched Molly B Couture’s new line of precious necklaces featuring letters of the alphabet, expected to appeal to a wide market.
Alexis Dove presented her latest pieces, also available at her online shop and at stockists such as Charles Fish.
Alexis Dove is a British designer of unique and beautiful jewellery. She often uses Nature as a theme for her pieces.
Alexis told Jewellery Outlook that she believed that bridal demand was holding up well, but impulsive purchases had slowed down, possibly due to the impact of the challenging economic environment in the UK.
At the CMJ event, designer Marco Bicego and a goldsmith demonstrated how fine jewellery is made.
Deci, Ti Sento and Tina Lilienthal were among the brands hosted by the CMJ Media at the one-day event held at Vanilla on Great Titchfield Street, London W1.
