The Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (GIT) has issued a call for entries for GIT’s World Jewelry Design Awards 2022 under the theme “True Nature – Reveal the Secret of Nature”.
Mr. Sumed Prasongpongchai, Director of The Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand or GIT, reveals that the institute has continued GIT’s World Jewelry Design Awards 2022 under the theme “True Nature – Reveal the Secret of Nature” a jewelry collection inspired by the organic beauty of nature.
Participants are encouraged to reduce production losses and to make use of waste materials from the industry, for example, using raw gemstones or extracting gems from old jewelry to redesign or upcycle.
Color gradations or natural elements can be used as an inspiration to create a beautiful jewelry collection.
A total of 330,000 Thai Baht or 10,000 USD is awarded to the winners of the competition, with a trophy.
The competition is open to participants from across the world and all entries are free of charge.
All entries (sketches, computer designed, hand-drawn) will be reviewed by the judges in the first-round selections, in which the top 30 designs will be selected and displayed at exhibitions.
Four outstanding designs will be selected where designers will turn their design into jewelry collections with jewelry production sponsors.
The four collections will be presented in a mini fashion show for the final-round selections and displayed at the Winner Announcement and Awarding Ceremony of GIT’s World Jewelry Design Awards 2022.
