Chow Tai Fook presents diamond jewellery masterpiece crafted by Wallace Chan
HONG KONG, September 21, 2015 – Retailer Chow Tai Fook has debuted a diamond jewellery masterpiece crafted by celebrated artist-jeweller Wallace Chan.
The necklace, called “A Heritage in Bloom”, which can be worn in 27 ways, was created using 24 D-colour internally flawless diamonds cut from the Cullinan Heritage, an extremely rare and exquisite 507.55 carat Type IIa rough diamond.
The centre piece of the necklace is the biggest diamond in the collection: a 104-carat, D colour, internally flawless, brilliant round diamond.
The diamond necklace unifies a group of diamonds cut from the same rough stone within a single piece of jewellery.
“I have brought this family of diamonds together,” Chan told Jewellery Outlook in an interview at his office in central Hong Kong on September 20.
“It is a once-in-a-lifetime chance. It feels like destiny.”

Chow Tai Fook, one of the world’s largest jewellers, acquired the rough stone in 2010, and cut and polished the diamond over the next few years.
The extraordinarily crafted necklace showcases the design expertise of Chan whose jewellery has been sought after by ultra-high-net-worth collectors, mainly from Asia.
Last year Chan was the first Asian exhibitor at the Biennale des Antiquaires in Paris, which showed off magnificent pieces of jewellery created by some of the world’s top jewellery houses.
In the coming months, Chan will be launching a limited-edition book highlighting his most magnificent pieces of jewellery.
