CMJ launches new consumer-facing website

December 2015 – A new website launched this month from The Company of Master Jewellers that focuses on promoting CMJ retailers and brands to jewellery customers across the UK and Ireland.

The new site, which can be found at http://www.masterjewellers.co.uk includes a facility for consumers to search for their nearest Master Jeweller by postcode and contains page profiles of all CMJ retail members and brands.
Other facilities include online news pages featuring stories from CMJ retailers and CMJ approved supplier brands; buying guides that include features on seasonal jewellery styles, watch guides, advice on buying diamonds, hallmarking, taking out jewellery insurance and jewellery repairs.
The slick new website, which was designed and developed for CMJ by Design Unique and iSynergy, acts as an online showcase for all members and suppliers. Both brands and retailers have direct control of their pages on the new site to allow regular updates to keep the site’s content topical and fresh.
“We see this as an opportunity to deliver additional benefit to retailers and suppliers who are part of CMJ,” said chief executive Willie Hamilton. “As consumers’ use of web searches become more sophisticated, we want to ensure that when they are looking for a master jeweller or specific brand, they can rely on the assurance of the CMJ to know they are looking at a trusted brand.”
CMJ is the UK and Ireland’s largest co-operative buying group of independent retail jewellers and currently has over 160 retail members representing over 400 individual shops. The CMJ’s approved suppliers include 79 jewellery brands and 80 watch brands.
