Sarah Ho by Brown & Newirth – inspired by the tiara
BIRMINGHAM, England, February 7, 2011 – Sarah Ho said she was inspired by the tiara when she designed her wedding collection for Brown & Newirth.
The award-winning designer also said flexibility was at the heart of the new collection, which has a traditional engagement ring, wedding ring and eternity ring.
The difference is in the way they all fit together.
The wedding ring can be worn on either side of the engagement ring to create two different looks.
“The inspiration comes from the tiara. The tiara is a piece of jewellery that has been around for a long time and makes a woman feel special – like a princess,” Ho told Jewellery Outlook in an interview at The Jewellery Show where the new collection was launched.
Ho said the new bridal collection, which comes in gold and platinum, was traditional, but with a contemporary twist.
“Having the wedding ring on one side of the engagement ring gives you one look, and on the other side a second look,” she said.
“Then if you add on the eternity band, you’ve got a whole different look again, and you can choose colours and stones.”
Ho said, “The main theme about this collection is flexibility, and following on the trend of stacking rings.”
