LONDON – Summer Open Studios returns to Cockpit for two weekends in June (4-7 June and 12-14 June, 2026), offering visitors a unique opportunity to discover and purchase work from the UK’s leading artist-makers.
The perfect way to start your summer, Open Studios is a celebration of craft and making where visitors can pick up the perfect Father’s Day or summer wedding gift, explore behind the scenes, meet makers in their studios, and discover the brightest talent in craft.

This year, guests will have the chance to bid on 40 incredible craft objects made at Cockpit in the charity’s 40th Anniversary auction, running exclusively from 4-14 June. All proceeds will support Cockpit and its makers.
Visitors can view a series of newly commissioned portraits of Cockpit makers, produced in collaboration with renowned photographer Alun Callender for the 40th Anniversary.
Over 50 portraits of makers will be on display at Cockpit Bloomsbury during London Craft Week (11-12 May, 2026), with a selection forming part of the Summer Open Studios exhibition.
