De Beers’ IIDGR to hold synthetic diamond detection course

September 2018 – The International Institute of Diamond Grading and Research (IIDGR), part of the De Beers group of companies, will be holding a Synthetic Diamond Detection Course in Maidenhead on October 17.

“The Synthetic Diamond Detection Course offers a first-class opportunity for learning and most certainly will help attendees become better equipped to understand and manage the fast-evolving synthetic diamond market,” said Jonathan Kendall, president of IIDGR.

The day is a busy, hands on spectacle with students working with a range of HPHT and CVD samples, as well as screening and verification instruments from the IIDGR equipment suite.

At the end of the day students will not only have learned about synthetic diamond growth methods and how to identify them but will also be able to make commercial decisions about how to secure internal pipelines through diamond services, equipment, further education, or a mix of all three.

Details of the course can be found at https://education.iidgr.com/en-gb/products/synthetic-diamond-detection-course

The course is being offered at a special rate of $600 for the first 10 applicants.
