Designer Sarah Jordan builds workshop in Wales
BIRMINGHAM, England, August 7, 2011 – Luxury UK designer Sarah Jordan has designed and built a brand new 300-square-metre workshop in western Wales where she will work on new creations and train craftsmen.
The workshop will have views and help inspire her in her work, Sarah told Jewellery Outlook at a Company of Master Jewellers (CMJ) event at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
“Since August of last year I have been building a new workshop in Wales,” she said.
“The front aspect of the workshop looks down the valley and takes in all the views. Because I am inspired my nature, I am inviting nature into my workshop, and I am hoping that will help me to create inspiring new collections.”
Sarah said she would use the workshop to create her latest pieces and to train craftsmen in new techniques.
A winner of multiple awards, Sarah Jordan, a trained silversmith, is an intuitive designer renowned for creating sensual, beautiful pieces in fluid shapes in precious materials including platinum.
Today, Sarah’s jewellery is sold throughout the UK, Europe and Japan.
