BASEL, Switzerland, March 18, 2016 – Domino Jewellery reported strong orders on the first day of Baselworld for its classic bridal rings, noting increased demand from European retailers for pieces in rose and yellow gold.

Andrew Sollitt, sales and marketing director, told Jewellery Outlook that Domino (Hall 2.1, Stand K91) had received orders from retailers in continental and northern Europe, as well as UK independent retailers, for the classic range of bridal pieces, predominantly with round diamonds.
“We’ve had good interest in Princess styles,” he added.
Retailers showed strong interest in classic 3- and 5-stone rings, Sollitt said.
All Diamond Ring Mounts are offered as an unset mount, or alternatively as a complete piece set with a choice of GVS or HSI diamond.
All designs are available in either platinum or 18ct gold alloys. 30 new designs were launched at Baselworld.
Domino manufactures the pieces at its workshop in the Birmingham jewellery quarter.
“Created and crafted in Britain” is a key feature of Domino jewellery collections, including the classic bridal pieces.
“The pieces are designed and manufactured in England, which makes the lead time short,” Sollitt said.
“This (demand for classic bridal pieces) goes to the heart of what we are as a business,” he added. “This is what we are best known for and most respected for.”
