Domino’s new collection looks set to be ‘Belle’ of the show

LONDON, August 25, 2013 – ‘Belle Ile’, Domino’s latest collection of diamond and gemstone neckwear and earrings, which is to be launched at this year’s International Jewellery London (Stand G141) is, as its name suggests, a beautiful and stylish new range.
The pieces, all of which were designed in-house by Domino’s prize-winning design team, include a choice of delicate pendants and earrings as well as more substantial necklaces and chandelier styles.

The collection is extremely colourful, with vibrant, eye-catching tones provided by the use of a range of coloured gemstones.
Here you will find jewels for every occasion with plenty of pieces suitable for both day and evening wear.
There are timeless classics; stand-out and highly fashionable ‘statement’ designs for special occasions, and a wide choice of jewellery for brides.
Tremendous choice
As with so many of Domino’s collections, Belle Ile offers retailers tremendous choice allowing them to pick either fully-finished jewellery, or semi-finished mounts pre-set with HSI accent diamonds and ready to be set with their own choice of central stone.
All pieces are available in a choice of 18ct gold alloys.

To further ring the changes, Domino is offering customers a choice of diamond-detail chains in various lengths to compliment the pendants in the collection.
These include a delicate chain featuring four diamonds (0.07cts) or a wider chain showcasing six diamonds (0.20cts).
Both chains come with extenders and have diamond-detailed bezels for that extra finishing touch.
Belle Ile also provides plenty of opportunities for add-on and repeat sales with most pieces having either matching or complimentary earrings.
Further ‘matches’ can be found in the company’s ‘Sienna’ ring collection which includes a number of rings  that sit perfectly with Belle Ile’s neckwear and earrings to give a complete suite.
As with all Domino collections, ‘Belle Ile’ (the name means ‘Beautiful Island’ in French) is supported by an attractive, consumer-facing brochure.

The catalogue features many tones of blue and has a definite feel of the summer seas around La Belle Ile.
The range is also supported by excellent product photography which is available for Domino’s customers’ own promotional activities.
Mood of the moment
“Everyone at Domino has been particularly excited by Belle Ile as we believe it perfectly captures the mood of the moment,” says Andrew Sollitt, Domino’s sales and marketing director.
“These statement designs will have great window appeal and are ideal pieces for both the gift and self-purchase markets in the run up to Christmas and beyond.

“I’m pleased to say that those retailers who have been allowed a sneaky peek prior to the show have been very enthusiastic about the many possibilities it offers them and their customers.”
Naomi Newton-Sherlock, Domino’s recently appointed Creative Director, has equally high hopes for ‘Belle Ile’:   “The development of Belle Ile has been an exciting journey.  The collection offers a fresh approach to neckwear, combining timeless classical designs with pieces inspired by some of the enduring key trends.
“One of my favourite suites takes inspiration from both the vintage and unusually-cut-stone trends, using clustered rose-cut diamonds to create real impact.

Sales indicate that individuals are increasingly looking for something that reflects their personality and there really is something for everyone in Belle Ile.
“We look forward to sharing it with our customers at IJL,” she says.
