Elizabeth Galton curates Treasure on June 14-17
LONDON, June 2012 – Treasure, which will take place from June 14-17 during Jewellery Week, will showcase new talent and cutting-edge technology from the very best in contemporary design.
In curating the show at Somerset House in central London, designer Elizabeth Galton will help guide visitors to the event.
“Over the past 10 years and in my capacity as a Creative Director, I’ve had the pleasure of supporting and mentoring young design talent,” Galton said.
“As the Founder of online boutique EG Studio, www.elizabethgaltonstudio.com which showcases over 80 emerging brands, the invitation to curate Treasure harmonised perfectly with my own wish to continue championing a new generation of jewellery designers.
“My first book, a comprehensive guide on jewellery design and the industry, is to be published later this year and features not only leading lights in the industry but many of the independent designers exhibiting at Treasure,” she said.
Elizabeth Galton’s first book, Basics Fashion Design 10: Jewellery Design is to be published by AVA Books in October, 2012.
The Treasure show will include Essence, an ethical and sustainable jewellery pavilion, a Bridal Trail and an afternoon tea Fathers Day special on Sunday 17 June.
There will also be a series of audiences and talks from some of the brightest stars in the jewellery world.
