Esther Assouline jewels, on show in Paris, reflect memory, origins
PARIS, December 2015 – Designer Esther Assouline, whose latest jewels are on display at the Galerie Elsa Vanier on the Left Bank of Paris, is inspired by memory and origins.
Her pieces are made from 18- and 22-carat gold and precious stones.
“I like the contrast between the rough and the refined, the imprint of the past on contemporary jewellery,” Esther told Jewellery Outlook at the Galerie Elsa Vanier in early December.
The combination of yellow gold and gemstones brings a blaze of colour to her pieces.
