As the Igor Carl Fabergé Foundation celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, it is with great pleasure that we propose this unique exhibition as part of the Salon GemGenève, which aims to shed light on the vast riches of the Fabergé workshops and their influence on his contemporaries.
Bernard Ivaldi, President of the Igor Carl Fabergé Foundation
While most popular knowledge about Fabergé is focused on the creation of imperial Easter eggs, commissioned by the Russian Imperial family and important private patrons, the Igor Carl Fabergé Foundation decided to offer a different approach by presenting «new finds » and little known items as a point of departure of this exhibition. By exhibiting more than 100 pieces from private collections, the Igor Carl Fabergé Foundation is offering a glimpse into the richness and versatility of the Fabergé workshops.
