Fairtrade Silver launch for Weston Beamor at IJL
BIRMINGHAM, England, July 26, 2014 – Weston Beamor, the Birmingham casting house and experts in 3D printing, will use International Jewellery London (Stand D60) as the launch pad for a new range of services using Fairtrade Silver.
The company, which was an early adopter of Fairtrade Gold, is one of just five businesses in the UK to have ‘Master Licensee’ status from the Fairtrade Foundation.
It is thus enabled to supply certified Fairtrade 18ct gold, and now Fairtrade 925 silver, to those customers who wish to have their designs cast in these materials.
Weston Beamor intends to cast daily in silver and its Head of Business Development, Glen Day, is optimistic that the new Fairtrade Silver Service will be well received.
“The Fairtrade Foundation’s recently launched ‘Goldsmiths’ Registration Scheme’ has made it much easier for designers, who wish to do so, to create a limited number of special commissions and one-off pieces in Fairtrade precious metals, and we believe that there will be a real appetite amongst Weston Beamor’s customers for this new service,” he says.
Also on show at IJL will be Weston Beamor’s sophisticated 3D scanner – so come along for a demonstration – and its expert team will be on hand throughout the event to offer help and advice on all aspects of jewellery production from CAD design and rapid prototyping through to casting and finishing.
