SHEFFIELD, England – Goldsmiths North, now in its second edition, is a showcase for goldsmithing, silverware and gem-set jewellery designs targeting collectors and aficionados in the northern UK market.

Taking place from July 8-10, 2022, in the magnificent setting of Cutlers Hall, Sheffield, with the support of Sheffield Assay Office, the selling event has attracted some of Britain’s top jewellery making and design talent, including several who have already exhibited at Goldsmiths’ Fair in London.

Leading names such as Tomasz Donocik, Julia Lloyd George, Alexander Davis and Jacqueline Cullen are showing their latest designs at Goldsmiths North, which saw steady footfall on its first day.

Donocik, who stepped up digitally during the pandemic, presented an array of his exquisite, cutting-edge precious designs, while Lloyd George showed off a superb selection of pieces featuring Paraiba tourmalines and multi-coloured sapphires; Davis offered gorgeous gemstone-set designs inspired by science, and Cullen’s selection included some edgy statement pieces featuring Whitby jet.

The return of Goldsmiths North, which had been interrupted by coronavirus for a couple of years, augurs for a regular new highlight of the jewellery events calendar, to satisfy the appetite for precious jewellery designs in the growing northern UK market.
