Garrard launches exquisite Bow collection at Baselworld
LONDON, March 14, 2015 – Garrard, the Oldest Jewellery House in the World, celebrates its 280th anniversary with the launch of its exquisite new “Bow” collection at the 2015 Baselworld fair.
The Bow collection is comprised of 14 innovative new designs and embodies the spirit of celebration, as well as the prestigious and unique heritage of Garrard. The bow motif resonates throughout Garrard’s jewellery creations since 1858 when the jewellery house made a series of three diamond bow brooches for Queen Victoria. Those intricate brooches have been passed on and adorned by generations of the British Royal family as a tribute to heritage and classic femininity.
The new Bow collection features elegant signature pieces, crafted in rose gold and delicately highlighted in diamonds, as well as awe-inspiring diamond creations including contemporary up-the-ear earrings and a double-finger ring. The collection includes two remarkable High Jewellery necklaces, embracing the Garrard values of traditional craftsmanship and forward-thinking design. These magnificent Hero pieces can be worn in a multitude of ways creating a complete, matching High Jewellery set.
In its modern day interpretation, the bow is a symbol of celebration, as a ribbon is often tied as a memento of an anniversary or birthday, marking a special occasion in life.
To commemorate its 280th year, Garrard has chosen to embrace this recognisable symbol by designing an intricately beautiful jewellery collection that will appeal to women around the world. Each timeless piece of the Bow collection is created from a soft flowing ribbon of gold and diamonds, gently tied in a bow to capture an everlasting moment of celebration.
