ASCOT, England, June 20, 2015 – Garrard had a high profile presence at Royal Ascot this year, showcasing its skills and heritage in creating magnificent trophies and jewellery.

Garrard has been designated the ‘Official Supplier of Trophies, Silverware and Glassware’ at Ascot Racecourse in a three year deal.
Over the past 300 years Ascot has established itself as a national institution, providing the ultimate stage for the best racehorses in the world with the Royal Meeting the centrepiece of the British social calendar.
Juliet Slot, Commercial Director at Ascot, welcomed the new relationship:

Garrard’s designs of the five new pure gold plated sterling silver cups, were selected and approved by Her Majesty’s Representative and the Trustees of Ascot.

The trophy designs feature elegant classic forms and are impressive in scale – fitting with the significance of each race.
The races for which perpetual trophies are given at Royal Ascot are the Gold Cup, the Royal Hunt Cup and the Queen’s Vase.
Later in the year, such trophies are awarded for the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes in July and the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes in October (both races sponsored by QIPCO).
Garrard and Ascot have centuries of rich history behind them and both are global leaders in their respective fields.
Ascot stages 13 Group One races each year, more than any other British racecourse and Garrard’s legacy dates back to 1735, since when they have epitomised exemplary artistry and craftsmanship which has defined British gold and silversmithing.

Garrard were privileged to be Crown Jewellers for 164 years and have regularly supplied trophies to Ascot.
Garrard crafted five of the crowns on display in the Tower of London amongst other dazzling and symbolic Royal regalia, all created in their London workshops.
Today Garrard enjoys increasing international success, creating glamorous jewellery, insignia, gleaming silver and unique sporting trophies for clients around the world.

During Royal Ascot, Garrard hosted customers at a box in the Grandstand with a splendid view of races such as the Gold Cup.
In the box, extraordinary Garrard pearl and diamond jewellery was on display to the visiting guests.
Garrard also had a boutique at Royal Ascot near the Grandstand, showcasing the history of the brand and presenting a wide array of luxury gifts.
