GJEPC and Bharat Diamond Bourse to host ‘Diamond Detection Expo & Symposium’
MUMBAI, November 29, 2015 – The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), the apex body of the gems and jewellery industry in India, in association with Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) will organise a Diamond Detection Expo and Symposium (DDES) at BDB, Mumbai on 15th & 16th of December.
DDES, an educational initiative, is organised in order to impart knowledge on synthetic diamonds, and their detection through various available technologies.
The 2 day event includes a display of the latest equipment/machinery, along with talks and panel discussions with renowned experts from the trade.
Mr. Praveenshankar Pandya, Chairman, GJEPC, said, “It is very vital that everyone working in the industry is aware of what diamond simulants, synthetics and treated diamonds are, even though they may not choose to trade in them.”
