GJEPC organises Colored Gemstones Buyer-Seller meet in Panyu
China, January 13, 2015 – The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), the apex body of gem and jewellery trade in India, in association with China Gems Center is organising the third edition of the China Coloured Gems Buyer-Seller Meet at the Shawan Jewelry Industrial Park at Panyu, Guangzhou, in China on 15-16 January, 2015.
This meeting brings together representatives of more than 100 Chinese companies and 15 select Coloured Gemstones suppliers of repute from India at a two day gathering.
GJEPC Chairman Mr. Vipul Shah says, “China is one of India’s foremost trading partners, with gem & jewellery exports from India to China recording an impressive USD 91.04 million during the period Jan-Nov 2014. We are pleased to organise the 3rd edition of the India-China Coloured stone BSM in Panyu. The last two editions which were held in Jaipur met with an astounding success and gave us insights to the enormous potential the gemstones category possesses. Through this meeting, we look forward to consolidating our trade relations with China, developing close synergies and increasing direct exports of gemstones to the country.”
The Buyer-seller meeting will gather some select Indian companies, most of them from Jaipur. As it is held for the first time in China, the Indian exhibitors expect more traders from across China to visit and take advantage of the event. The traders will witness the best quality gemstones from Jaipur, the global hub of gemstones. Jaipur, the heritage city, houses the manufacturing units, and possesses the latest technology, providing the best of gemstones and gemstone jewellery.
Mr. Rajiv Jain, Regional Chairman of the Indo China Colored Gemstones BSM, added, ”It is a unique opportunity for a cross-section of select gemstones suppliers from India under one roof – an opportunity that may not have been possible if the Chinese traders had come in their individual capacities to transact business. We hope this will go a long way in forging trade relations, and we hope to see stronger business alliances established at this forum.”
