Global jewelry design contest Masters in Creativity (MIC) extends deadline for entries


ANTWERP, March 12, 2020 – The deadline for entries by talented designers from around the world in the Masters in Creativity (MIC) jewelry design contest, has been extended to June 30, 2020.

The theme of this year’s competition is “To Wonder.”

“We call on all creative and young talented jewelry designers to submit as many designs as possible inspired by the theme ‘To Wonder,’” said Jennie Baeten, a promoter of the contest which is now in its second edition.

“We are looking for the most creative, innovative designs. You can use any types of materials that you wish,” Jennie said.

“We hope to receive as many creative designs as possible.”

MIC is a uniquely global jewelry design contest.

An international panel of renowned judges, from leading designers to manufacturers, editors and

influencers, will consider the finished pieces from shortlisted applicants.

The competition is open to everyone. There are no

limits on nationality, education, occupation or age.

The winner of the competition will receive a cash prize of 7,000 euros, the second prize is 5,000 euros, and the third prize is 2,000 euros.

The MIC design contest, which follows last year’s inaugural edition “Inspired by Nature”, is supported by Chinese businesses in the luxury sector.

The winners will be announced in September 2020.

The deadline for entries has been extended due to the impact of the coronavirus outbreak.
