Highest demand ever for next CMJ trade event

December 7, 2013 – The Company of Master Jewellers (CMJ) reported that demand for its next trade event, to be held in March 2014, is the “highest ever” with 80% of exhibitor space already booked.
Event organiser Lucy Reece-Raybould said: “For the first time ever, we have had extremely early bookings with many of our approved suppliers buying larger floorspaces for bigger and better stands. Brands already booked up for the trade event, which will be held in Birmingham on March 16th-17th, include Pandora, Diamonfire, Shaun Leane and watch brands Casio G-Shock, Frederique Constant and Bulova.
CMJ chief executive Willie Hamilton said: “We are delighted that our twice yearly trade events are becoming a big draw for our retail members and our approved suppliers, who are investing significantly more into the shows because they know the value of the business they can generate through the group.”
The March trade event will be focusing on new summer jewellery and watch collections and will be themed as a summer music festival, complete with a Sunday night evening music event.
“The CMJ trade events are not just about buying and business but a chance to be entertained, to let your hair down and to network with some of the biggest players in the jewellery industry,” said Hamilton.
“We welcome enquiries from retailers wishing to know more about the CMJ and to discover more about the benefits of joining. Anyone who would like to find out more about becoming a CMJ member should contact Lucy Reece-Raybould.”
