H&T Pawnbrokers is partnering with FareShare – the UK’s largest charity fighting hunger and food waste.

FareShare diverts surplus food, which would otherwise go to waste, to those at risk of hunger and provides the equivalent of two million meals a week for people who might not otherwise eat (two thirds of whom are children and families).

H&T’s commitment

As part of the partnership, H&T hopes to support the provision of at least 200,000 meals each year. To help achieve this, they will make a donation for each employee every month. Employees can also contribute from their monthly salary which the company will then match.

Frances Marlow, H&T’s HR director, said: Were delighted to support FareShare. The work they do makes a big difference to our communities. The reduction in food waste is also hugely important and supports a key cornerstone of our community strategy.

Lindsay Boswell, FareShare CEO added: Partnering with H&T means a lot to us and will help us continue our efforts to support more people who are struggling to get enough to eat across the UK.
