IJL 2015 launches new Market Focus initiative with ‘In Stile Italiano a IJL’

LONDON, February 13, 2015 – IJL 2015 announces the launch of a major new initiative – the IJL Market Focus – aimed at creating global jewellery trade commercial and cultural partnerships.

Italy has been chosen as the first Market Focus for 2015 with ‘In Stile Italiano a IJL’ showcasing a select collection of inspirational Italian exhibitors at Olympia this September.
The launch of an annual Market Focus at IJL consolidates the show’s international commercial and networking reputation within the industry.

Each year a new country or region will be showcased as a conduit to strengthen opportunities for business worldwide.

This year’s first Market Focus highlights Italy’s dynamic jewellery industry, with its rich heritage of artisan excellence and love of design.

The project will be supported by a comprehensive marketing campaign with a series of features and events taking place at the show.

Event Director, Sam Willoughby, said: “The new Market Focus promises to be a really powerful annual event at IJL. We are hopeful that this feature will open doors to strengthen international trade as well as increase awareness about the showcased market’s design set.

Many cutting-edge brands have already signed up for the show with over 70% of the show footprint booked. Plans are already in hand for many new collections to be unveiled at the show.

Andrew Sollit, sales and marketing director at Domino said: “Domino has been a regular exhibitor at IJL for many years and very much values the platform it provides for us to show off our key autumn launches. This year we will show further additions of our highly successful ‘Belle Ile’ collection, featuring the ‘big three’ coloured stones. Rubies, emeralds and sapphires are going to be an important story this year and following a strong Christmas we are looking forward to IJL 2015 with confidence.”

Endless Jewelry will be showing their brand new Jennifer Lopez Collection, with 42 new charms and two brand new leather bracelet colours for SS15.
This glamorous and versatile charm bracelet collection features charms designed by Jennifer Lopez herself; including new pyramid stud drop and sparkling zirconia-set charms.Endless Jewelry founder Jesper Nielsen said: “We introduced our new collections with international superstar Jennifer Lopez to the UK at the IJL show in 2014 and we have had a fantastic response. IJL is one of the key international shows for us as a brand.”
Italian collection Fope looks forward to launching its new Lovely Daisy Collection at IJL 2015 as well as a new version of the Flex’it milestone, Eka. Lovely Daisy is a line of price friendly gold pieces –  sweet and easy too wear.

Eka is a new, richer, bolder redesign of the classic Fope rondel. Speaking about the importance of IJL 2015, Valentina Bertoldo of Fope, said:  “The UK is one of the top markets for Fope and International Jewellery London offers a remarkable opportunity for us to meet the most influential people in the British world of jewellery.

“IJL represents an important target-focused show where we exhibit thanks to the support of our British agents, the long established and valuable Saunders Shepherd & Co.”Ponte Vecchio Gioielli, also from Italy, plans to unveil its new avant-garde collections at IJL 2015.
Director Francesco Cala observed: “2015 is an important year for us, Ponte Vecchio Gioielli started as a small workshop 40 years ago and now we are recognised as a brand worldwide.

“At IJL we will present our new collections as well as our bestsellers such as the London blue topaz in the Diva collection and  floating diamonds in the famous Vega collection.”
Buchwald Jewelry from Germany will return to IJL 2015 for their second show. “IJL holds a special place in our trade fair plans. It forms a vital platform for us to present Buchwald’s British customers with our new jewellery ideas”, said Angela Buchwald, who creates striking jewellery inspired by nature.

For her 2015 is all about colour especially marsala red,  warm and earthy, or white, clear and bright.
New International exhibitors to the show include the innovative Spanish brand Unode50. With plans in hand to open its first store in in Regent Street W1 in 2015, David Azulay, wholesale director, said: “UNOde50 chose IJL 2015 as the ideal showcase to consolidate the launch of our unique and creative designs in the UK market.”
Two innovative new US exhibitors from the Sates include Samuel Aaron Inc. and Beverley K.

Samuel Aaron will showcase a stunning assortment of opening price point bridal, three stone and anniversary rings. Samuel Aaron is a true leader in popular price point colour and diamond fine jewellery and is one of the largest dancing gemstone suppliers in North America.

Beverley K plan to show their new collection of vintage-inspired mounts as well as their higher end bracelets, earrings and pendants. Morrie Knopp, owner of Beverley K, noted: “There has been a strong resurgence towards our vintage signature look, and we see that trend continuing for the foreseeable future. Being part of the International Jewellery London show offers an invaluable opportunity for us to present our collection to fine retailers and network with attendees as we continue to grow and expand into new markets.”
