Indian Jeweller magazine hosts design awards
JAIPUR, India, December 2013 – The Indian Jeweller magazine hosted a glittering awards ceremony, the “IJ Jewellers’ Choice Design Awards 2013” night at the Marriott Jaipur on December 20.
Manufacturers, retailers and designers from across the country had submitted their designs under various categories and price points for review and selection.
The competition required manufacturers to submit their best designs across 24 product categories.
The winning pieces from over 500 entries were reviewed and chosen from over 10,000 votes received from retailers across India, for their favourite designs.
This activity made the awards a Jeweller’s Choice event.
Prominent people at the awards ceremony included Siddharth Singh- Joint Secretary – Ministry of Commerce; and Vipul Shah – Chairman, Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council.
Alok Kala, Publisher and Editor, Indian Jeweller, said, “We are celebrating 50 years of publishing, and it’s good that we are in Jaipur today celebrating and awarding the best names and designs across India.”
Renowned Jewellery companies like Tribhuvandas Bhimzi Zaveri, Tanishq, Kalyan Jewellers, Anmol Jewellers, Mirari International, Birdhichang Ghanshyamdas, and KGK Entice, participated in the event.
Prominent amongst the winners in Design categories were Tribhuvandas Bhimzi Zaveri, who won awards in the Designer Jewellery Under Rs. 5,00,000 category, and Best Bridal Design Between Rs. 10,00,001 – Rs. 20,00,000.
Best Necklace Design Under Rs. 5,00,000 was won by Vaibhav & Abhishek by Kalinga & GRT Jewellers India Pvt. Ltd.; Best Ring Design Under Rs. 2,50,000 was won by Kays Jewels Pvt. Ltd; Diamond Jewellery Over Rs. 5,00,000 was won by Mirari International.
Other winners included Charu Jewels- Surat; BR Designs- Surat; Mahabir Danwar Jewellers- Kolkata; Raniwala Jewellers- Jaipur; Kalajee Jewellery- Jaipur; Kashi Jewellers- Kanpur; Indus Jewellery, and Jewel Goldi.
A vibrant fashion show with the best of the gold and diamond jewellery was showcased by professional models.
