India’s GJEPC appoints new leadership team
October 10, 2012 – The new Chairman of India’s Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) is Vipul P. Shah and the Vice Chairman is Pankaj Parekh.
They will take over responsibilities from the outgoing Chairman, Rajiv Jain and Vice-Chairman, Sanjay Kothari respectively.

The new members will hold office for the next two years.
The election took place in New Delhi on October 9, 2012.
Vipul P. Shah, CEO & Managing Director of Asian Star Co. Ltd., has extensive experience in the diamond industry. He has been the Convener of the BITC (Banking, Insurance & Taxation) Committee of the GJEPC. He has also been a Member of the Committee of Administration for the last two years.
Pankaj Parekh
Pankaj Parekh belongs to a family of jewellers going back several generations. He has held several posts in the Central and Regional Committees of the GJEPC, and is now the Chairman of the Eastern Region.
