The UK’s Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council (GC&DC) is calling for nominations from the UK jewellery, silversmithing and allied trades for its annual Lifetime Achievement Award (LAA) for 2023.
This prestigious accolade is given in recognition of a recipient’s outstanding contribution and commitment to UK craft, specifically within jewellery, silversmithing, or allied trades such as lapidary, diamond mounting, engraving or enamelling. Over the course of their lifetime, they will have shown an exemplary dedication to their profession.
The Lifetime Achievement Award 2023 nominations can be submitted via the GC&DC Website, providing a short overview of the nominee’s notable achievements, work, and commitment to the industry.
Lifetime Achievement Award is generously sponsored by British manufacturer, Thomas Fattorini Ltd, which produces an individually engraved silver medal for presentation to the recipient.
Head to the GC&DC website for inspiration and to learn more about the previous Lifetime Achievement Award recipients, including engraver Malcolm Appleby, who was honoured in 2022.
To nominate an individual, please complete and submit this short form on the GC&DC website.
The closing date for nominations is midnight on 14th August 2022. Nominees must be UK based and can be working or retired. Deceased nominees are ineligible for nomination. All nominees will be considered by the GC&DC Council based on the information provided and suitability for the award.
