International Jewellery London and Jewellery Outlook launch the International Leading Lights Awards
Entries open to celebrate global jewellery industry talent #IJL2019
London, 20 June 2019 – International Jewellery London (IJL) and Jewellery Outlook are delighted to announce the launch of the International Leading Lights Awards – a new initiative created to celebrate the innovation, craftsmanship, design and distribution of jewellery industry talent across the globe.
The International Leading Lights Awards encompass the pre-existing IJL Editors’ Choice awards and the IJL Blog Awards.
The International Leading Lights are a collaboration between leading jewellery show IJL and respected publication Jewellery Outlook, which offer the opportunity of gaining recognition for contributions to a forward-looking global jewellery industry. recognising the best in international talent from across the jewellery industry. The winners will be showcased at IJL 2019 and beyond.
Given the well-established and respected awards already offered by the UK to recognise its own talent and achievement, The Leading Lights Awards are specifically targeting those in the international arena whose contribution to the world of jewellery should be showcased both in the UK and beyond.
There are eight categories. Entries can be made by organisations or individuals themselves, or a third party can nominate. The entry forms will be open on the IJL website on 17 June, and the deadline is 12 July 2019.
The eight categories are as follows:
• Best Bright Young Gem
• Jewellery Course Provider of the Year
• Fashion Fusion Award
• Best Direct-to-Consumer
• Jeweller of the Year
• Best Use of Technology
• Fine Jewellery Award
• Best Blogger Award, supported by NAJ

These awards will showcase and champion the incredible achievements of the jewellery industry around the globe. I cannot wait to see the incredible talent and passion that the eight categories will present and look forward to celebrating them all at IJL 2019!”

Once the shortlist has been revealed, a panel of expert judges will select one winner in each category, who will be honoured at a special awards ceremony at IJL (1-3 September 2019).
