International Jewellery London announces launch of “Luxury by IJL”
LONDON, September 4, 2013 – International Jewellery London (IJL) has announced the launch of its new premium trade event, “Luxury by IJL”, which will showcase some of the world’s most prestigious jewellery brands.
The event will take place at Kensington Olympia, in the heart of London, from 31st August – 1st September 2014.
Sam Willoughby, Event Director of Luxury by IJL said, “The UK is badly in need of a luxury jewellery event to meet the needs of the market and provide a luxury hub that doesn’t yet exist in the UK.
“We are confident that ‘Luxury by IJL’ will become a must attend event for the jewellery industry and attract prominent international exhibitors and buyers.”
IJL’s inaugural “Luxury by IJL” will gather the most prestigious jewellery retailers, designers and manufacturers at this exclusive, invitation-only event.
Presenting a new showcase of the ultimate in luxury jewellery, Luxury by IJL offers two unique days for retailers to network, browse and buy collections.
Cassis Jewels from the US, have been confirmed to exhibit at the 2014 event and will use this as a platform for their launch in the UK.
Further names exhibiting will be released shortly, promising a truly stellar line-up.
‘Luxury by IJL’ is the first of its kind in the UK and has been launched in order to meet strong demand from retail buyers as consumer demand for high priced luxury jewellery has grown.
Luxury jewellery sales have been growing steadily in the UK since 2007 and in 2012 hit sales of £1.2 billion.
This is expected to grow with a compound annual growth rate of 2% between 2012 and 2017.
“Luxury by IJL” is in an ideal position to meet the demands of the UK’s and Europe’s luxury jewellery buyers, in London, for the first time.
The plans for next year’s Luxury by IJL were unveiled at a VIP champagne reception and catwalk show presenting AW/14 jewellery trends at International Jewellery London, Earls Court, which is now in its 57th year.
The event also unveiled 6 Design Innovation award winning pieces which have been specifically designed to match the ‘Future Plus’ trend, plus some show stopping one-off pieces from Tresor Paris and Fei Liu.
2013 will be IJL’s last year in Earls Court before the move to Olympia in 2014.
